"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is a blockbuster hit. Due to its success, most, if not all, have high expectations for "Star Wars: Episode 8." So, what can fans expect in the upcoming film?
Here's the latest scoop we have for "Star Wars: Episode 8."
According to ComicBook.com, Carrie Fisher's daughter, Billie Lourd will have a bigger role in "Star Wars Episode 8." Per the report, Lourd appeared in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" where she played as a junior controller named Kaydel Ko Connix.
In her appearance, she wore her blonde hair up in two buns, similar to her mother's get up in the original "Star Wars" in 1977. In her first appearance, she had only one line of dialog where she asked General Leia (Fisher), "General, are you seeing this?
Last Saturday, SlashFilm caught Lourd on the red carpet for Fox' "Scream Queen" where they asked her about her short appearance in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." They also asked her if she would return in "Star Wars: Episode 8."
Lourd confirmed that she will have a bigger role in "Star Wars: Episode 8" but did not exactly talk in details about her screen time. "Oh yeah, yeah," she said. "The last one was a little Where's Waldo-y."
When prompted if Lourd will have more scenes with her mom on "Star Wars: Episode 8" her response was more of a teaser. "Maaaaaybe," she said.
Meanwhile, according to People, "Star Wars: Episode 8" star, John Boyega was spotted in the hospital at The Royal London Hospital in London. The actor painted a smile on the children's faces by giving away "Star Wars" toys.
Daniel Bell, a 5-year-old boy with brain tumor wishes to meet Boyega's "Star Wars" character, Finn. Boyega dressed up as Finn while Bell dressed as a stormtrooper. The pair was even spotted playing fencing together.
"Thank you so so much Rays of Sunshine and John Boyega for granting Daniel's wish to meet Finn and take toys to the hospital," Bell's mom wrote. "It was just amazing, I have no words! Daniel is still totally overwhelmed, I have never seen him so happy."
"Star Wars: Episode 8" premieres on Dec. 15, 2017.
