‘Frozen' 2 Release Date, News & Update: Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell Bring Anna & Elsa Out for Good Cause, Olaf to Have a GF in Sequel

"Frozen" stars Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell, who gave the voice to Anna and Elsa in the hit animation film, reunited for a good cause. Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell remained good friends long after their work on the first "Frozen" film wrapped up. Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell reunited not just for their work on "Frozen" 2, which reportedly will see Olaf falling in love, but also to support a charity event.

According to E! News, Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell brought "Frozen" music to the event by A Broader Way Foundation. Naturally, Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell included the "Frozen" favorite "Let It Go."

Josh Gad, who voiced for the other "Frozen" favorite Olaf, also joined Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell in the event. Both Kristen Bell and Josh Gad tweeted about their "Frozen" reunion for A Broader Way.

Speaking of Olaf, Vine Report says that the character played by Josh Gad may find true love in "Frozen 2." While this angle for Olaf remains a speculation for 'Frozen" fans for now, such a development for the character would be interesting.

In the meantime, "Frozen" fans will have the double treat of seeing their favorite characters on a stage production and in a TV special. In a separate article by Parent Herald, the yet untitled TV holiday special for 2017 will bring together the original "Frozen" voice cast members Idina Menzel (voicing for Elsa), Kristen Bell (voicing for Anna) and Josh Gad (voicing for the soon-to-be in love Olaf).

"Frozen" film co-writer and co-director Jennifer Lee will be part of the Broadway production. "Rocky" director Alex Timber will direct "Frozen" onstage. "Billy Elliot" choreographer Peter Darling as well as scene and costume designer Bob Crawley will be on hand for "Frozen" onstage.

The release date for the film sequel is yet to be announced, but the new "Frozen" TV special is marked for 2017. On the other hand, a 2018 Broadway debut is set for "Frozen."
