‘Stink Yourself Slim' Spray Helps People Lose Weight

A foul-smelling spray called 'Stink Yourself Slim' can help aid weight loss among users as it emits odd scents that may help curb appetite, according to the Daily Mail.

The product is the brainchild of businesswoman Alex Fontaine who believes that there is a direct association between smell and a person's appetite. The spray which comes in a combination of black and purple packaging emits a combination of scents similar to that of a stinky boy's bedroom, mouldy fridge, rotting gym clothes and more.

Fontaine thought of creating the weight loss product while she was at a party four and a half years ago, according to Odd City Central. "I was at a posh function where dinner was going to be served in a marquee. My friend and I had been sitting outside, enjoying the late spring sunshine. Then, when we went in, we were immediately hit by a disgusting smell. One of the dishes - some sort of stew - was giving off such an unpleasantly strong odour that my friend and I couldn't eat a morsel," Fontaine said.

"It got me to thinking that this was the first time something, anything, had put me off my food. Could there be potential in the fact that a bad smell could make you lose your appetite", she added. When sprayed, the user is expected to lose her appetite no matter how hungry she feels. One user, Laura Millar confirmed the effectiveness of the spray and said that she lost pounds when she tried using the product.

"I am trying out the latest diet aid, which is said to 'stink you slim'. Hailed as the aromatic alternative to a gastric band, it is aimed at fortifying compulsive snackers like me, destroying their appetite in one sniff," Millar said.
