“Homeland” Season 6 is currently in the works. So far, several potential plot details have emerged, with a few being confirmed by the showrunner and producers.
Despite the huge possibility of Quinn (Rupert Friend) succumbing to death in "Homeland" Season 5 finale, there are rumors that he may actually live through the ordeal and appear throughout "Homeland" Season 6, writes BreatheCast. However, he will be struggling with both physical and mental problems. There are also talks that Dana (Morgan Saylor), Brody’s (Damian Lewis) daughter might join and become a CIA officer in “Homeland” Season 6.
Mandy Patinkin, who plays Saul Berenson, shared during People’s Choice Award in February 2016 that he wanted social issues to be featured in "Homeland" Season 6. Presenting something that needs to be fixed in the real world in the series may provide a suggestion on how to actually deal with the problem.
Showtime programming head Gary Levine stated that Quinn will be severely damaged in "Homeland" Season 6, which indicates that the character will actually survive. He said that if Quinn lives, he will not be the same person. Fans will find him in a changed state.
“Homeland” Season 6 will be set in New York City. However, Levine said that the plot will also cover other places.
Furthermore, showrunner Alex Gansa told Sioux City Journal that Dana may become a CIA officer in "Homeland" Season 6. Gansa shared that he is still interested in the Gansa family, particularly Saylor, as an actress. He said that it would be interesting to see Dana becoming a CIA officer.
Screen Rant wrote that “Homeland” Season 6 will continue to follow CIA agent Carrie Matheson (Claire Danes). She will still be battling terrorism and other world issues. She will also continue to struggle with her bipolar disorder, which is said to be a huge factor in her decisions and actions. According to Gansa, fans will find Carrie developing in a wholly new emotional and professional state in "Homeland" Season 6.
The showrunner also revealed that Dar Adal will be explored more in the next season of "Homeland." Fans saw how affected he was by Quinn’s predicament and fans will see more of it soon.
