'Avatar 2' Cast & Plot: Storyline Will Explore Jake Sully and Neytiri's Relationship; Plot to Focus on Jake?

One of the most anticipated films to hit the big screens is the sequel of "Avatar". Although "Avatar 2" is still over a year away, the hype about the film continues to grow.

According to LawyerHerald, "Avatar 2" will feature Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri's (Zoe Saldana) relationship. The first film highlights the two character's budding romance, but in "Avatar 2", the pair will get married and build a family.

Although Jake and Neytiri's romance will blossom, their struggles and challenges in Pandora are not over yet. Parent Herald previously reported that the couple's adventure would go beyond Pandora's tree of souls. They will be taking their next adventure beyond the forests and go underwater and in volcanic environments.

In a separate report from Parent Herald, director James Cameron admitted that he would be bringing a new environment in Pandora. "The deep ocean stuff that has more of a direct connection to Avatar 2 & 3, which by the way won't take place completely in or under the water," Cameron said. "That's just part of the environment of Pandora that we're going to see."

Meanwhile, according to Ecumenical News, there are rumors that "Avatar 2" will focus on Jake, who is now a permanent Na'vi avatar and the tribe's chieftain.

Cameron did not confirm this rumor but hinted something about "Avatar 2's" plot. "I can tell you one thing about [the three upcoming sequels]. They're gonna be b**chin'. You will sh*t your mouth wide open," he told Empire.

"Avatar 2" was initially scheduled for release in 2017 but Cameron opted to push it back. Does he have apprehensions due to the first film's huge success?

Meanwhile, one MoviePilot user thinks that "Avatar" has no cultural impact. He is positive that "Avatar 2" will not be as successful as the first film. "Its victories were its own demise at times and it is going to be one hell of an uphill battle to sell the next few sequels," wrote.

Will "Avatar 2" surpass "Avatar's" success? What do you think? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
