A Seattle-based company introduces the latest in their range of bacon-based products, a bacon-scented deodorant that promises lasting protection, according to the LA Times.
J&D Foods opened in 2007 and is centered on creating products that 'taste' or smell like bacon. The first product they launched was bacon-flavored seasoning salt, a type of seasoning that has zero calories and zero fat that makes every food cooked with it taste like bacon.
Four years after, J&D Foods has already been featured on shows like Oprah, The Daily Show, CNN, NY Times and the Seattle Insider, according to KiroTV. The company has also captured over two billion impressions by the press for their bacon-based products and efforts. Since 2007, they have already launched BaconPop -- bacon-flavored popcorn, Baconnaise - bacon-flavored mayonnaise, Bacon Lip Balm, Bacon Lube, Bacon Sunscreen and Bacon Croutons.
This year, they are launching the newest in their range of bacon goodies - the Bacon Deodorant. "We realized that everyone loves bacon," said Justin Esch, owner and founder of J&D Foods. "Well, now, everyone can smell like it 24 hours a day." This product is touted with the slogan: "For When You Sweat Like a Pig" and promises 24 hours of bacon-scented protection and can be applied to underarms and private body parts. Bacon Deodorant comes in stick form and is packaged in a black, handy dispenser emblazoned with a colored photo of cooked bacon strips. The package has a tagline 'meaty fresh' across the top of its label. The product is priced at $9.99 at 2.5 ounces and can be purchased online.
