The YouTube channel of Chevrolet drops a major teaser of its upcoming 2017 Camaro ZL1. The 15-second video is titled "Are you ready?" and features an unseen car with a dominating engine sound.
The clip is shot behind the automobile's "Flowtie" grille and racing into a track. The engine noise is very intriguing as it has the similar hum of a supercharger, according to Yahoo! Autos.
Moreover, Chevrolet says that it will soon unveil the enigmatic star of the short video on March 16. Many fans believe that the car in the video is indeed the 2017 Camaro ZL1 as the New York International Auto Show is bound to happen later this month
While the 2017 Camaro ZL1 is making noise, Jalopnik reveals that the 2017 Camaro ZL1 is equipped with 6.2 liter V8 640 horsepower and a mirrored 640 ft-lbs of torque. The 2017 Camaro ZL1 features an optional supercharger that can be in automatic transmission with two more speeds.
The 2017 Camaro ZL1 can be in the six-speed manual or the all new 10-speed automatic. The 2017 Camaro ZL1 has a magnetic ride suspension, limited-slip differential, a heat extractor composed of a carbon fiber on the hood and an upgraded "flow-tie" aerodynamic symbol in the grille.
It has been said that the 2017 Camaro ZL1 weighs about 200 pounds lighter compared to its predecessor, the 2016 Camaro ZL1. If the 2017 Camaro ZL1 will be put side by side with the 2016 Camaro ZL1, it has nearly 60 more horsepower and 80 more lb-ft of torque.
However, car enthusiasts find the upcoming release of the 2017 Camaro ZL1 too soon to appear. Digital Trends reports that it is just about two years when the last supercharged ZL1 materialized following the arrival of Camaro in 2010.
However, Chevrolet is consistent with its particular performance category as it says, "The new ZL1 is poised to challenge the most advanced sports coupes in the world by any measure." To sum it all up, the executive vice president of Global Product Development, Mark Reuss said that 2017 Camaro ZL1 is specially designed to stand out.
