New reports note that "The Lobster" has a new release date. ComingSoon.net also reported that A24 has released a new trailer for the award-winning film.

According to Entertainment Weekly, "The Lobster" won the Jury Prize at Cannes. The film is set in a future world where single individuals are required to find love within 45 days or else they will be turned into an animal of their choice.

It features Colin Farrel as David who has just been dumped by his wife and is now trying to find a new love in a mysterious hotel before fate turns him into an animal. He ends up joining the rebel faction, The Loners where he meets Rachel Weisz but something unexpected happened.

For those wondering if "The Lobser" is worth watching, take it from Chris Nashawaty who already saw the film in Toronto Film Festival. "I know this premise sounds like a surreal, preposterous arthouse rabbit hole. It's so bonkers that it shouldn't work, but it does. Brilliantly," he wrote.

"The Lobster is the kind of unexpected and unexpectedly moving revelation that film festivals exist to share with the world. It opens your eyes to a new way of storytelling. It's a love story unlike any I've ever seen," he added.

Per Entertainment Weekly, "The Lobster" is already opened in many countries around the world including England and Spain. It was initially scheduled for release on Mar. 11 but the release date in the US was pushed back.

For those, who are interested to watch a unique love story, "The Lobster" will premiere in the U.S. theaters on May 13. "The Lobster" also features John C. Reilly, Lea Seydoux, Olivia Colman and Ben Whishaw. You can watch the new trailer below.
