Ways on How to Handle Temper Outburst for Toddlers and Adult

Nowadays, temper outbursts or tantrums aren't just for a little child anymore, even adult can throw an outburst due to stress and anxiety. Here are some ways on how to handle an outburst at any age.

Throwing a tantrum is a natural for toddlers due to lack of capabilities to express themselves properly. Toddlers are having hard time understanding which is good and which is bad. For them doing anything can't harm them.

A mother shares her experience with her 3-year-old twins when they are on educational trip in Manhattan. According to her, her son Theo wants an astronaut toy. She let Theo choose which astronaut he wanted, but Theo began to whine and then later on began to scream and stomped dozens of toys. To calm her son down, she tucked him in her arm and Theo began to calm, according to Parenting.

As a toddler grows, tantrum grows with them. At their elementary age, they complain almost about everything; they think others always outsmarted them. For them to calm down, some parents are giving them a silent treatment or just ignoring them, some are trying to convince them that all things are equal or right.

Sometimes a child is being disrespectful when they are throwing a tantrum; parents should have a lot of patience to understand their children, parent should teach their children good manner. Sometimes they called it a tween tantrum, according to Today.

Among teens, outburst is not much on screaming nor crying; for them silent treatment is the best form of tantrum. Teen tantrums are occurring when they have problems with their studies, stress, emotional problems and home curfews. Parents should handle this by constantly talking to them and understand their problem and help them overcome it. Trusting them is a must.

When a person is in his/her adulthood, tantrums barely affect him or her. They only happen when they have family problems or having hard time at work. To handle this kind of situation, they must find their comfort place and just relax for a while.
