"Dance Moms" star Maddie Ziegler announced that she'll be leaving the reality series. The 13-year-old "Dance Moms" cast announced that she will be moving on to a new adventure.
According to Daily Mail, Maddie Ziegler confirmed that she will be taking on a new role. Despite leaving "Dance Moms," wherein she was part of the series for five years, Maddie Ziegler decided to take on a more challenging role. During her interview with People, Maddie Ziegler announced that she would be returning to TV after quitting "Dance Moms." For her comeback, the previous "Dance Moms" cast will be on "So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation."
"I am leaving, but it'll be a good thing because we're moving on to cool things," Maddie Ziegler told reporters. "So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation" [is] going to be so amazing. I'm looking forward to it because I feel like kids are so good these days."
Though the new show may be exciting for Maddie Ziegler, the ex "Dance Moms" star admits that her new career is something she looks forward. Aside from being overly excited, Maddie Ziegler also admitted that she's nervous as she'll be one of the judges on "So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation." Maddie Ziegler also said that she needs to do her best at all times, given the fact that she's the youngest among the rest of the judges.
Despite being young, Maddie Ziegler shared that she does have a few experiences when it comes to judging. She gained her experience as she was judged numerous times during her participation on "Dance Moms."
"I definitely have some knowledge now because I've been judged a lot," Maddie Ziegler said. "I think it will be really cool to be with judges Paula Abdul, Jason Derulo, and Nigel Lythgoe."
