'Super Smash Bros.' Update Patch 1.1.5 for Wii U and 3DS Available Now

A new update patch for “Super Smash Bros” for the Wii U and 3DS has arrived, and it features various balancing buffs and nerfs for many of the game's characters.

Nintendo has announced that they have released Update Patch 1.1.5 for “Super Smash Bros” yesterday in its official website. The patch was released to the public silently, but once word went out, players started checking out the game's balance tweaks, reports Event Hubs.

Numerous changes which included both nerfs and buffs were made to several characters, notably Samus and one of the recent additions to the roster of characters, Cloud. Other characters, such as Mewtwo, Bayonetta, Corrin, Zero Suit Samus, Zelda and Sheik also saw changes as well.

Player comments on the changes show a mix of reactions, with some players happy and some not-too-happy about it. Still, the update is to balance the game, as Nintendo sees fit.

Here are the small notes for the patch, says Nintendo:

“We have adjusted the game balance. In addition, we have fixed many problems so that you can still play the game comfortably.”

“If you download the update data (Ver. 1.1.5), replay data stored in the update data (Ver. 1.1.4) previously you will not be able to play. In order to perform the Internet play, the update data (Ver. 1.1.5) is required.”

Attack of The Fanboy reports that owners of the 8GB Wii U had problems regarding storage. Should you wish to get the patch but only have an 8GB Wii U, it is advised that you should look for more storage space for the game. The new update patch needs at least 160MB of free space.

To date, the full size of all “Super Smash Bros” update patches is at 3.1GB.
