"We're just trying to get the script together," he told IGN. "We're working with this studio so we have a little bit of support, in a sense of, if the material comes through we'll try and make this picture. We're really just still trying to get the story right."
Alex Winter, who played Bill in "Bill & Ted" films, revealed that the lead characters would be in their 40s in "Bill & Ted 3." It will feature if the two characters have grown up or not, ComingSoon.net reported.
"It's really sweet and really f--ing funny, but it's a Bill & Ted movie, that's what it is. It's for the fans of Bill & Ted. It fits very neatly in the [series]. It's not going to feel like a reboot," Winter said. "The concept is really funny: What if you're middle-aged, haven't really grown up and you're supposed to have saved the world and maybe, just maybe, you kinda haven't? There's many versions of ourselves in this movie," he added.
"Bill & Ted 3" will answer the fans questions of how Bill and Ted live their lives. The two characters were the brightest bulbs on the tree. Did they achieve their goals? What happened to them after two decades? "Bill & Ted 3" will answer these questions in a comedic way that the audiences will surely love and enjoy.
For those who are excited about "Bill & Ted 3," Reeves teases that they are getting closer. "We're closer and we're not closer. We're expecting another draft and hopefully, we'll get closer," he said.
