Shia LaBeouf and Mia Goth were reportedly engaged! And according to several reports, the couple have been bragging about their engagement to a cashier from supermarket chain Gelson's.
"The couple was grabbing groceries at Gelson's earlier this month when LaBeouf . . . told the cashier that they were set to get married," Vanity Fair reported.
Adding up to the rumors was Mia Goth's alleged engagement ring when she was spotted with Shia LaBeouf in Los Angeles on Wednesday. In addition, LaBeouf reported announced that Goth was his fiancée during his live-stream performance art project #Elevate, in which he spent 24 hours in an elevator in February, Los Angeles Times noted.
While many are excited about Shia LaBeouf and Mia Goth's engagement, some have hinted that there's a possibility that they won't make it to the altar and here are 3 reasons why:
1. Shia LaBeouf's Dating History
Shia LaBeouf's dating history is one of the reasons cited by Celeb Dirty Laundry that might not make their engagement last. The site even claimed that LaBeouf "can barely be out of one relationship before jumping into the next."
The celebrity gossip site further claimed that Shia LaBeouf immediately dates women right after his previous relationship ended. And among them were "American Honey" star Sasha Lane, "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" star Carey Mulligan and stylist Karolyn Pho.
"It will be not only a miracle if they get married, it will be a double miracle if Shia [LaBeouf] and Mia [Goth] stay married," CDL wrote.
2. Shia LaBeouf and Mia Goth's Somewhat On-Off Romance
Aside from Shia LaBeouf's dating history, another reason that the engagement might not last long was the couple's on-off romance, Metro reported. In fact, the couple took a break from their relationship after their aggressive argument in Germany in July 2015 that was caught on camera.
In the footage, LaBeouf can be heard saying, "I gotta get outta here bro. If I had stayed there I would've killed her."
3. Shia LaBeouf's Engagement Remains Unconfirmed
Despite several news outlets running the Shia LaBeouf's engagement, a rep for the actor has yet to confirm or deny if the engagement is real of if a date has been set, as per Us Weekly.
