According to Christian Times, the forth-generation of the 2-in-1 detachable Microsoft Surface Pro series was launched in October last year. The Surface Pro 4 was well received by tech experts and consumers and it is proven to be a success on the market.
It took almost one year for the high-tech giant Microsoft to launch Surface Pro 4 after launching Surface Pro 3 in June 2014. Taking into consideration the timeframe for scheduling new updates of its Surface Pro series, it makes sense to expect relatively soon the launch of the upcoming Surface Pro 5.
According to Tech Radar, the next generation Surface Pro 5 will be a laptop/tablet hybrid powered by the new Skylake processor from Intel. The gadget is expected to come pre-equipped with Redstone 2, the latest Windows 10 operating system. The Intel Skylake processor will bring improvements in speed, performance and extended battery life.
Some reviewers of the Surface Pr0 4 noted its poor battery performance reported to last only for around five to six hours. The upcoming Surface Pro 5 is expected to top its predecessor and provide an improved battery life of around seven to eight hours.
The Surface Pro 5 will be packaged with a Surface Pen remodeled to match the additional improvements. For instance, it is rumored that the Surface Pen will be packaged with a power pot and the power on and off button. It will be also added a LED light to indicate notifications.
The Surface Pro 5 is expected to come with a larger screen of up to 13.3 inches that will support the 4K resolution that the gadget is expected to offer.
Speculations regarding the official release date of the Surface Pro 5 suggest that the upcoming device will launch in October this year for a retail price of $899.
