Parenting has definitely come a long way for the past ten years. Technology has played a huge part when it comes to the evolution of how parents apply their parenting skills these days. There are lots of great innovations that lead to realizations that some parenting styles in the past are worthy to have gone obsolete. Here are three things that parents ought to know on the evolution of parenting for the past ten years.
1. Goodbye Cribs: Pre-millennial parents are used to the idea of buying a cribs for their babies, especially the ones with a drop-down side. In an article published by The Washington Post, this is the generation that actually says no to cribs! In fact, there are now a lot of stores in the United States that prohibits the selling of this product because the drop-down sides and the bumpers are apparently dangerous and it could put your child's life at risk!
2. Bathing Is Now Optional For Newly Born Babies: About a decade ago, bathing a baby as soon as he or she comes out from birth was a must. It would make sense since you can expect the baby being covered with blood and other human liquids that totally needs some cleansing.
But bathing a baby after birth has now become optional because apparently, there are studies showing they could benefit from that mess. These days doctors could actually suggest delaying their bath for a moment and even say that not giving them bath every week is beneficial.
3. Babies Of This Generation Have More Pictures: Due to cameras being everywhere from phones to laptops and even smart watches, millennial babies have more photos than the babies from the past decade. Parents could literally document their child's every move from the day they come out of this world.
There are still a lot of changes that happened in the parenting world. These are just a few of what we have noticed.
