There are rumors that Zack Snyder is planning to do another sequel to the film "300," beyond the ancient Greece. Zack Snyder is eyeing to create a different kind of "300" film out of the norm "Revolutionary War" that might feature other historical events.
In a recent interview with Collider, Zack Snyder admits that there might be a third movie for "300" and he and his team are thinking how they will materialize it. "We've been talking about is there a way, possibly, we move out of Ancient Greece and use it as a framing device for other conflicts that happened throughout history," Zack Snyder says.
Zack Snyder also says earlier that they have talked of the Revolutionary War version of "300," Alamo and the fight in China. Zack Snyder, too, is thinking of a "Lost Legion" theme for "300" and the likes.
Moreover, Screen Rant adds that the first installment of the "300" film is known for being a big hit. "300" surprises everyone with its different kind of visual style by telling its story beyond the comic book. However, the "300" sequel, "300: Rise of an Empire" didn't sell that well compared to the original film. But it just proves that the "300" movie can stand on its own without its previous casts and director.
"300" can be a stand-alone film. Even if the succeeding "300" movies are not connected to the original story; it can be a "thematic franchise." Even though Zack Snyder is not the director of "300: Rise of an Empire," he "did co-write and produce it."
However, the next "300" film might take a long while to be filmed as Zack Snyder is already committed doing the DC Extended Universe.Zack Snyder might be doing the upcoming "Justice League" film and the next DC movies.
