Michael Schumacher News & Update: Mercedes' Niki Lauda Claims Fans Deserve To Know F1 Superstar's Health Condition

Amid the ongoing media blackout requested by Michael Schumacher's family, fans are still patiently hoping to know more about the F1 legend's health condition. Unfortunately, details of his recovery have been kept under wraps.

Almost two years ago, seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher shocked the world when he suffered serious head injuries after a tragic skiing accident at the French Alpine resort of Meribel in December 2013. Luckily, he's now on the road to recovery in spite of scare updates regarding his true condition.

Since diehard Michael Schumacher fans are dying to know about the health condition of the embattled F1 superstar, Mercedes boss Niki Lauda recently claimed that fans definitely deserve the right to know regarding Schumacher's current state.

"The family protects him and I understand that completely," Lauda said, Daily Express quoted. "But it means that all those who would like to know something, do not. I often think of him, but unfortunately I have no contact. We all just hope, hope, hope."

Lauda also explained that he thoroughly understood Michael Schumacher's family in their quest to preserve their privacy. However, Ecumenical Times reported that he also emphasized that sharing some details to the fans, who've been showing their unwavering love and support since the accident, won't hurt but would give them a glimmer of hope.

In addition, Lauda also emphasized that divulging some information would evade those incessant media reports that are often based on false Michael Schumacher rumors. And in order to stop the public's "wild speculations," he advised that a "middle ground" is needed to share important updates about the German racer's health condition.

Meanwhile, Niki Lauda's call for transparency came after Michael Schumacher's manager Sabine Kehm's recent statement on Schumacher's recovery. In her statement, Kehm revealed that the Schumachers are hopeful that Michael will eventually surpassed the ordeal and will be back in the racing world.

"He is the most successful driver in history and sometimes, on days like this, it is good to be reminded of it," Kehm said. "Of course, Michael is not here and of course we miss him. We know what has happened and cannot change it. We must accept it and hope with everything we have that with continued support and patience he will one day be back with us. Racing was his life and no one would have liked to have been here more than him."

As of late, Michael Schumacher is undergoing extensive rehabilitation at his Swiss estate, where a highly-secured and state-of-the-art suite was custom-built. He is under the care of 15 medical specialists, who closely monitor his condition, Jobs & Hire has learned.
