One of the anticipated films is the fifth installment of the popular Autobots series, "Transformers 5." "Transformers" fans will surely be delighted because the film is making progress.
Parent Herald previously reported that "Transformers 5" would be filming in Michigan. According to new reports, "Transformers 5" received a huge amount of incentives from the state.
"Michigan has been so welcoming of Michael Bay and the 'Transformers' movies over the years, and we are thrilled to be returning for this next incredible installment," Lee Rosenthal, President of Paramount Physical Production said per Deadline.
According to DayHerald, Paramount received multiple pre-approved applications amounting to $42 million eligible incentives. The state disclosed that "Transformers 5" would take half of the incentives that are already allocated for Paramount Projects.
The report notes that the remaining $21 million will be returned to the state general fund when the fiscal year ends. For those wondering when "Transformers 5" will start filming, it may happen after summer.
According to the report, Viacom's Comedy Central announced that "Detroiters" series would film in Detroit this summer and other reports claim that "Transformers 5" will shoot a month after that.
Meanwhile, there is no doubt that among the favorite Autobots in the "Transformers" franchise is the Bumblebee. For "Transformers" fan who love the yellow Autobot that has been Sam Witwicky's (Shia LaBeouf) sidekick in the first three "Transformers" films. According to VineReport, after "Transformers 5" there will be a spinoff featuring the crowd-favorite autobot, Bumblebee.
However, the "Transformes" Bumblebee spinoff will be produced at a much lower cost.
"There are characters in the Transformers universe that can be and should be made into their own movies," Brad Grey, Paramount Pictures chairman told The Hollywood Reporter. "We will make the first movie with Michael and go right into a Bumblebee movie, which will be at a lower cost."
