Many readers are waiting for the arrival of "The Winds of Winter" for over four years now. Unfortunately, after a long wait, the anticipated sixth installment of the popular novel series "A Song of Ice and Fire" remains in the dark. Despite the delay, "The Winds of Winter" remains to be among the hottest topic online.
Here's the latest scoop we have about "The Winds of Winter."
George RR Martin revealed a huge difference between "The Winds of Winter" and "Game of Thrones." Due to Martin's slow pace in finishing his book series, the show has finally caught up with the book and many are concerned that they will see all the surprise in the book in the small screens instead.
Although "Game of Thrones" may include "The Winds of Winter" spoilers, there is still a major difference in plots and twists.
Martin teases that "The Winds of Winter" will include a plot that the "Game of Thrones" production can't carry out and this is because the twist includes a dead character in the show that is still alive in the books.
"So the show cannot do this, unfortunately, because they have killed a character that I have not killed," Martin told IGN.
Martin was initially aiming for an early 2016 release of "The Winds of Winter." The 67-year-old author told Entertainment Weekly that he wanted to finish "The Winds of Winter" before "Game of Thrones" season 6 premieres, which is scheduled in April. Unfortunately, Martin didn't make it.
New reports suggest that "The Winds of Winter" will be out before "GoT" season 7. Does this mean that "TWOW" is delayed for one "Game of Thrones" season?
According to Yibada, Martin already confirmed that he would finish "The Winds of Winter" before "Game of Thrones" season 7. Since "Game of Thrones" season 6 will just start next month, more likely "The Winds of Winter" will be ready by early or mid-year of 2017.
