Microsoft Xbox Exec Apologizes For Hiring Erotic Schoolgirl Dancers For GDC Party

Microsoft apologized after being slammed for hiring erotic schoolgirl dancers. Microsoft hired dancers dressed as schoolgirls for their Game Developers Conference party.

A report from Seattle Times cited that a photo taken at GDC's after party made waves on the internet as it was revealed that the erotic dancers were dressed as provocative school girls. Microsoft was not expecting the scrutiny as the company as the viral photo continually gathered opinions from the public.

Though the women were not underaged schoolgirls, they were however referred to as sexual objects. Microsoft received harsh criticism as it was mentioned that the company is a sexist environment without seeking the opinion of female employees.

Though the after party was reportedly a blast, most guests, however, were not comfortable with the erotic schoolgirls as some referred to it as sexism, while others decided to file a formal complaint. Most partygoers agreed to file a formal complaint against Microsoft as they despised the thought of using women as a decoration.

In response to the complaints, Microsoft released a formal statement as they formally apologized. According to IBN, Microsoft apologized for the sultry dancers dressed in a school girl's uniform during the party.

"It has come to my attention that at Xbox-hosted events at GDC this past week, we represented Xbox and Microsoft in a way that was absolutely not consistent or aligned to our values," Xbox Phil Spencer, Microsoft's head of Xbox said. "That was unequivocally wrong and will not be tolerated."

Despite the apology, Crave Online released a report stating that the dancers dressed in a schoolgirl's uniform is is the best way to "represent their brand" during the conference. As of this date, there are no updates in regards to the complaint, and Microsoft has not yet released further details in regards to the incident.
