"Saturday Night Live" sensation Ariana Grande, who impersonated Jennifer Lawrence, Celine Dion, Rihanna among other celebrities, reportedly caught the interest of "Transformers" producer Steven Spielberg. With her recent appearance on SNL Ariana Grande effectively reminded the public that she is an actress as well as a singer.
According to Page Six, Ariana Grande awakened interest not just in Steven Spielberg but with a few other parties. For his part, Steven Spielberg actually messaged filmmaker Lorne Michaels of "SNL" to commend Ariana Grande on her performance.
Variety assessed the projects that Steven Spielberg currently has lined up for a hint on a suitable role for Ariana Grande. While most projects by Steven Spielberg at this point have already completed filming or have already been cast, "Indian Jones" 5 seems the more reasonable project to include Ariana Grande.
A commendation by Steven Spielberg clearly is far from a project offer for Ariana Grande. Still and all, grabbing the attention of an industry veteran as Steven Spielberg speaks volumes of the skills Ariana Grande has as an actress. Besides "SNL" Ariana Grande also did a short turn in Ryan Murphy's "Scream Queens." Although a brief stint, Ariana Grande still made her mark with the "Scream Queens" role. Ariana Grande also did a cameo in the star-studded "Zoolander 2," which starred Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson.
"She's had plenty of acting offers, but many more people are starting to talk since she was on 'SNL,'" a source told Page Six. "But she's all about her music right now."
This well may be true for Ariana Grande. A separate article by Parent Herald reports on plans by Ariana Grande to develop more collaborations with British musicians. A new song is also in the works for Ariana Grande by her freelance songwriter Harry Styles. At the moment, while fans wait and see what will come of Steven Spielberg turning into an Ariana Grande admirer, her new album Dangerous Woman is set for a May 20 release.
