For fans following "The Young and the Restless," new reports reveal that there are changes in the cast details. Read more to find out if your favorite actor will still be part of "Y&R."
CelebDirtyLaundry reported that Sofia Pernas who plays as Marisa is taken off contract. Following her exit, Robert Adamson, who plays as Noah, Marisa's fiance in "Y&R" may follow her fate.
Deadline reported that Pernas was removed in "Y&R" due to budgetary reason. After "Y&R" let her go, the actress had gotten a new show immediately. Twenty-four hours after her last appearance in "Y&R" she auditioned for CBS' "Transylvania" and got the role. The 26-year-old actress will be joining Luke Allen-Gale and Laura Brent as regulars on the show.
After Pernas' exit in "Y&R", Daytime Confidential reported that Adamson's role is bumped to recurring. The publication does not believe that the lack of budget was behind the two characters' removal and reduction of role because there is a report claiming that Chuck Pratt simply run out of things to do with the characters. Yes, there's simply no more storylines for Noah.
"How do you not have story for young, restless characters on a soap opera called The Young and the Restless?" the report notes.
Well, it seems that "Y&R" has a budget anyway because after Pernas' exit and Adamson's reduction they just hired "Beauty and the Beast's" Michael Roark to join the "Y&R" on April 29 per Heavy.
Roark will be playing as Travis, a 30-something male that plays with women but is not really into commitments. Molly McChesney gave a warm welcome to the actor in a tweet, "@MichaelSRoark Welcome to YR, Michael!!! Can't wait to see Travis mix things up in GC. And with whom. Haha"
Learn more about Roark's role and appearance in "Y&R" here. For sure, many are looking forward to seeing the hunk actor's charm in Genoa City.
