'Avatar 2' Release Date, News & Update: Jake Sully, Neytiri Will Explore Pandora's Waters, Release Date Moved

It is officially announced that "Avatar 2" will hit the theaters in 2017, but 20th Century Fox confirmed that its release will be pushed for a later date. With the comeback of Jake Sully and Neytiri, the two protagonists are about to explore Pandora's waters.

According to Breathe Cast, James Cameron, the director of "Avatar 2," revealed that fans will get to see Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) continuing their lives in the forest. Jake Sully and Neytiri will travel around the large bodies of water that borders different zones, which might lead them to encounter new "characters of their kind."

Also, Jake Sully and Neytiri's relationship will blossom as they are about to build their own family. It has been said that Jake Sully will be the leader of their tribe before he and Neytiri get married. However, Jake Sully and Neytiri will face a number of trials such as the battle between Na'vi and Humans. The epic fight might shake the relationship of Jake Sully and Neytiri.

Meanwhile, fans still have to wait a little longer for the release of "Avatar 2" as 20th Century Fox asserted that it will be moved to a later date. However, the film company didn't reveal "Avatar 2's" official release date and why it has to be pushed, Master Herald reported.

James Cameron only explained that "Avatar 2's" release date is not as significant as the storyline. He said that "Avatar 2's" "metanarrative" should be prioritized than reaching their "Christmas 2017" target date.

Moreover, James Cameron said in Montreal Gazette that they will launch "Avatar" films with one-year interval once they finished filming the "Avatar" trilogy. James Cameron, too, teased that the "Avatar" movies will be stand-alone films, but has successively bigger stories to tell.
