Less than two months from now, fans will witness the biggest adventure that awaits the mutant superheroes in "X-Men: Apocalypse." As the film's release date nears, more and more surprises about the anticipated blockbuster film are revealed.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, a new app for "X-Men" fans will be available. The said app was created using the technology from mobile startup Victorious. It will feature exclusive content to keep fans updated. The content will be refreshed every Friday at noon PT. This app is the next big thing for "X-Men" fans. It's a great channel to communicate and interact.
"X-Men is one of the most beloved franchises of our time and has some of the world's most passionate fans," said Victorious CEO Sam Rogoway. "Our expertise in growing engagement within fan communities combined with the diversity of the X-Men movies world will make this app a go-to-destination for superfans. We are thrilled to work with 20th Century Fox to mobilize the X-Men community in new and innovative ways."
Fox is also gearing up for more surprises for the "X-Men" fans. Per the report, there will be a contest to find the 100 biggest "X-Men" fans. Interested individuals can participate by uploading videos in the app explaining their mutant powers and the top 100 individuals with the most number of in-app followers will receive exclusive giveaways.
Meanwhile, the bad guys of "X-Men: Apocalypse" graced the subscriber cover of the Empire Magazine. The cover featured Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) and his four horsemen Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Psylocke (Olivia Munn), Archangel (Ben Hardy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender) per Empire.
The report notes that the new Empire issue is filled with "X-Men: Apocalypse" treats and exclusive content that fans will surely enjoy. For "X-Men" fans who are drooling to own one of these magazines, the new issue of Empire will be available on newsstands from March 31.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" will hit the big screens on May 27.
