Brock Lesnar is back. On Thursday night, March 24, "SmackDown" fans were treated to the return of famed wrestler Brock Lesnar.
Cage Side Sites reported that the "SmackDown" returned from Boston, Massachusetts to the USA Network on Thursday night, March 24. According to Wrestling Inc, several champions celebrated their birthdays yesterday: Fernando and Jack Swagger turned 34, The Undertaker turned 51, former WWE star Barry Horowitz turned 56, Christopher Daniels turned 45 and WWE Diva Lana turned 31.
Among other attractions, the show had Sasha Banks defeating Charlotte, Sheamus defeating Kofi Kingston and The Usos defeating The Ascension. Also featured in the show is Sami Zayn and Dolph Ziggler winning over The Miz and Kevin Owens while AJ Styles takes down Tyler Breeze.
The opening of "SmackDown" on Thursday night had WWE Divas Champions Ric Flair and Charlotte coming in the ring for a heel promo. Charlotte has been defeated then by Sasha Banks in a solid non-title match, with Becky Lynch on commentary.
For the win, Sasha countered the Figure Eight with a roll up. Becky drops both Sasha and Charlotte and leaves after the match. Then Sasha drops Charlotte with a Backstabber after she recovered first.
Another interesting moment on Thursday night has shown Roman Reigns confronting Bubba Ray Dudley. Their match ended in a double count out. Reigns was out first and then D-Von came out with Bubba Ray. The match moved quickly to the outside. D-Von ran in to save Bubba while Reigns was in control. Then Reigns hits him with a Superman punch and took him out the ring.
"WWE SmackDown" hosted Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman in a promo at the end of the show. The two called out Dean Ambrose for a fight. However, the Wyatt Family came instead. Before Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman could attack, Ambrose came out too, but he actually went after the Wyatts.
At first, it was Brock and Dean against the bad guys, but they eventually turned against each other. While Ambrose tried to use a kendo stick, Lesnar put him down with an F-5. That marked the end of "SmackDown."
