The Cupertino-based tech giant just held their spring event last Monday. Many were expecting to see the new models of MacBook Air and MacBook Pro in the said event because there were rumors that the company might introduce them. Unfortunately, to the dismay of many, MacBook Pro 2016 and MacBook Air 2016 were out of sight.
Parent Herald previously reported that many were not happy with Apple's recent event. Some find it boring and not interesting. In fact, Mashable review notes, "Maybe the products Apple launched weren't that interesting."
However, for those who are waiting for the release of MacBook Pro 2016 and MacBook Air 2016, your wait is prolonged but rest assured that the new MacBooks would arrive this year. CrossMap reported that despite MacBook Pro and MacBook Air's absence in the March event, these anticipated laptops are still coming.
New rumors suggest that Apple is gearing up for a new MacBook. In a separate report from Parent Herald, the upcoming MacBook, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air will be thinner and lighter.
Yibada reported that Apple will upgrade their new 12-inch MacBook with Retina display and Intel Skylake chip before April ends. Then the 13-inch and 15-inch models of the ultra-thin MacBook Pro or MacBook Air will follow few weeks after.
Since MacBook Pro and MacBook Air did not make it to last Monday's event, new rumors suggest that they will be unveiled on April or via Apple's next big event. The Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will be held in June and if the new models of MacBook Pro and MacBook Air are still out of sight by April, then perhaps, customers can expect it at this event.
Meanwhile, there have been unending rumors that Apple will discontinue their MacBook Air lineup. With the redesigned MacBook Pro and MacBook, which are expected to be thinner, lighter and more portable, is MacBook Air's fate at risk?
Per News Everyday, Apple has never released 15-inch MacBook Air because it might rob its ultra-portability design. However, with new ultra-thin laptops that come with larger screens, MacBook Air may soon find the exit doorway.
