‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 6 Spoilers: 3 Reasons Why Upcoming Season Could Be The ‘Best’ Ever

"Game of Thrones" Season 6 fans are definitely going gaga over several spoilers that hinted some potential plot twists. According to the award-winning "Game of Thrones" showrunners, the most mysterious sixth season will also be the best ever.

For months, there have been incessant rumors swirling about what will happen next in "Game of Thrones" Season 6. While some of the cast have been gushing about what to expect in the new season of the hit HBO series, Emmy-winning showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss dropped some exciting revelation about the upcoming "Game of Thrones" Season 6.

"This is not us trying to hype it," Benioff told Entertainment Weekly. "This season there is not a weak episode. We had great directors who knew what they were doing, paired with excellent [directors of photography]. We thought at the script stage it might be our strongest season... We're always reluctant to say it's 'the best season yet' because so much of that is in the eyes of the beholder. But that's my sense -- watching them all together now, this is the best one we've done. It's also the one I'm proudest of, because it was the hardest."

With that said, "Game of Thrones" Season 6 fans will definitely have higher expectations. So as fans start to freak out over the latest spoilers, here are three more reasons why "Game of Thrones" Season 6 will be the "best" ever season.

1. Cersei and Jaime Lannister's "Weirder" Relationship in "Game of Thrones" Season 6

Avid "Game of Thrones" fans already know that Jamie Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Cersei Lannister's (Lena Headey) relationship in the series is incestuous. But in "Game of Thrones" Season 6, writers are reportedly adding some weird factors, Inquisitr notes.

Headey revealed that "Game of Thrones" Season 6 might be Cersei's "most interesting season." She also added that her relationship with Jamie will be at "an all-time weird level," which is "dark and so f*****g dark."

2. "Game of Thrones" Season 6's Biggest Battle Ever

Aside from the creepy twincest between Cersei and Jaime, "Game of Thrones" Season 6 will stage the "biggest battle" in television this season. As a matter of fact, writer and producer Bryan Cogman revealed that the upcoming season will feature the "biggest action scene," Wetpaint reports.

"It's definitely the biggest [action sequence yet]," "Game of Thrones" Season 6 writer-producer Bryan Cogman told EW. "We've always wanted to get to a place -- story-wise and budget-wise and time-wise and resource-wise -- where we would be able to do a proper battle, with one army on one side, one army on another side."

3. "Game of Thrones" Season 6 Will Never Spoil the Books

Despite the fact that "Game of Thrones" Season 6 has quite caught up with the George R.R. Martin's book series, "A Song of Ice and Fire," which the show is based on, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss vowed that the upcoming season won't spoil the books.

"So much of what we're doing diverges from the books at this point," Benioff told EW. "And while there are certain key elements that will be the same, we're not going to talk so much about [what those are]."

Meanwhile, the 10-episode "Game of Thrones" Season 6 will premiere on Sunday, April 24 at 9 p.m. on HBO. For free online stream link, click here.
