Divorce may be difficult but not life-ending. After her split from husband of 11 years, Todd Thompson, Giada de Laurentiis is finding happiness again with a new man and going back to her roots.
"I had a rough year and a half, no question," she told E! News. "But I think that all of us go through stuff. I checked out for a little bit. I tried to stay under the radar to protect my family and my daughter, mostly. But now I feel like I've turned the corner."
De Laurentiis reveals her new squeeze as TV producer Shane Farley. The couple has been seen together since November and seems to look happy.
Huffington Post notes De Laurentiis' message to anyone who went or is going through a divorce: "Life is a big adventure and yes, there are curveballs that come your way. Take a minute. Breathe deeply. But if you're healthy, you can get through anything in this life. You just can."
So what has her going through life apart from the exciting new love life? E! News shares that her series "Giada in Italy" will start shooting in Italy for a month and De Laurentiis couldn't be more excited.
"I think when you go back to your roots it just reboots you no matter what and gives you more inspiration to move forward and to do more creative things," she explained.
A partnership with Triscuit is also in the works, according to Crowdfund Insider. De Laurentiis and the long-time food brand will be teaming up to donate $250,000 to over 50 artisanal food maker campaigns on Indiegogo. She says that she admires Triscuit's philosophy that simplicity is key in making products that last. She plans on applying the same simplicity to her new life as well.
