New rumors about the highly-anticipated Square Enix game “Final Fantasy XV” have surfaced, and if proven true, it's going to be going to be good news for all fans out there.
While the “Uncovered” "Final Fantasy XV” event is scheduled to happen at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on March 30, posters found in Japan's Yodobashi stores reveal that the game will have its preorder launch date the following day, starting on March 31, reports Segment Next. The alleged preorder date might seem believable, simply because the reveal date is just a day before that. Should this be real, fans will be greatly delighted.
However, the official release date is still unknown as of now. Currently, rumors suggest that “Final Fantasy XV” will be released on September 30, reports Gematsu. The news outlet said that news about the release date came from three independent sources “who would have knowledge of the matter.”
Still, it's only a rumor, so take it with a grain of salt. Better stay tuned until the actual release date is revealed a few days from now during the “Uncovered” event.
On the other hand, the game seems really promising. In an interview, “Final Fantasy XV” director Hajime Tabata said that he is hoping to give players a very moving ending for the story, reports GameSpot.
"I want to create a very emotional ending to the game and want to make as many people cry as possible," Tabata said. "You're spending so many hours playing the game, so when I finish a game and it ends on a sour note and it doesn't move me, it gets me disappointed. At least make me cry or give me some emotion! I want to give a moving ending for the consumers who invest so much time."
Tabata added that the development team wants to have the same impact, if not exceed, that of the iconic “Final Fantasy VII.”
"[The team is] taking on the challenge of trying to exceed [“FFVII”] once more, which is a great motivator for them,” Tabata said. “VII sets a very high goal for us, but it serves as a good goal.”
Stay tuned for more updates on “Final Fantasy XV.”
