'Red Dead Redemption 2’ Release Date, News & Update: Rockstar Games To Unveil ‘RDR 2' At E3 2016?

Rockstar Games is reportedly unveiling "Red Dead Redemption 2" at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 at Los Angeles Convention Center on Jun. 14 to 16, 2016. Unfortunately, "Red Dead Redemption 2" would not be released until 2017.

E3 2016 has been considered as the biggest trade show of the gaming industry in the United States. While the event usually lures a lot of crowds, it recently experienced a crisis when the number of attendees dramatically decreased a few years ago.

But now, E3 2016 is hopeful that various announcements and upcoming game launches would draw more crowds this year. And one of the most anticipated game launches would be Rockstar's "Red Dead Redemption 2," Breathecast notes.

The upcoming game installment titled, "Red Dead Redemption 2: Legend of the West," will feature larger maps including the Mexican deserts and the North American landscapes. It will also have other locations such as railway lines and urban settings, The Christian Times reveals.

In addition, "Red Dead Redemption 2" will also allow gamers to explore the game further for a more engaging gaming experience. And "Red Dead Redemption" can be played on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and as for its release date, Frag Hero learns that the game will be release in 2017.

The announcement of "Red Dead Redemption 2" unveiling came weeks after four major gaming publishers chose to abandon their booths at the event. These gaming publishers include Wargaming, Disney Interactive, Electronics Art and Activision, as per Jobs & Hire.

Meanwhile, aside from Rockstar's "Red Dead Redemption 2" unveiling, game publisher Deep Silver will also have a major announcement to make at E3 2016. However, it remains unclear if what will the "major announcement" is all about.

Rumors have it that Deep Silver's announcement will be something about the two games the publisher is currently working on - "The Revolution" and "Dead Island 2," since other major properties such as "Metro" and "Saints Row" are currently silent, IGN reports.
