Many "Street Fighter" fans were thrilled when gaming publisher Capcom launched "Street Fighter V" last month. But since it earned tons of criticisms, its game publisher announced on Mar. 24, Thursday that it will finally release the "March Update" for "Street Fighter V" on Mar. 28 and Mar. 30.
When "Street Fighter V" was released a month ago, the game was quickly criticized by gamers and the media. The reason? The game lacked the in-game content that include the story mode, tutorials and several online features present on its predecessor, "Street Fighter IV," Engadget notes.
Luckily, Capcom decided to work on the new "Street Fighter V" DLC's improvement and will be dropping some much-needed updates this month. And according to GameRant, "Street Fighter V's March Update" will introduce "Demonstrations" in Challenge Mode as well as "Trials," which will enable players to test out combos and earn some more Fight Money.
In addition, the update will also add an online rematch option and eight player lobbies with spectating will also be available. Aside from that, the "March Update" of "Street Fighter V" will also add a new character, Alex, to the new DLC, as well as an in-game shop, Ecumenical News reveals.
Capcom also added that Zenny, the currency purchased with real money, will not be integrated into the in-game shop in "Street Fighter V's March Update." Hence, Alex and additional costumes would have only been unlockable by grinding out fights and accumulating the necessary Fight Money to purchase them.
"This also will apply to any future DLC character that releases prior to the Zenny shop launching," Capcom explained, as per GameSpot. "Once the Zenny shop launches, the free trial for any DLC characters that released prior to the Zenny shop opening will end, and players will need to either use Fight Money, Zenny, or the Season Pass to access those characters."
Gamers are definitely excited to know what's in store in the upcoming update of the new "Street Fighter V" DLC.
