Matt Damon is back in the new "Jason Bourne" movie reprising his role as the guy, who is suffering from extreme memory loss. In a new teaser photo, Jason Bourne is seen beside a motorcycle ready for some action.
In a snap shared by USA Today, the photograph features Matt Damon trying to prop up a big white motorcycle a sea of people, who look likd they're in a riot. "Matt Damon's superspy reappears on the world's intelligence scene with many of his memories returned as well," the publication captioned the picture.
According to Movie Pilot, the rally scene might be the one Matt Damon is talking about when he revealed "Jason Bourne's" filming locations. The said sequence is supposed to be filmed in Athens, Greece and will be seen in the start of "Jason Bourne."
Hence, the teaser photo might be the introduction of Matt Damon's return in "Jason Bourne." Moreover, Matt Damon explained to Empire why the fifth installment of the "Jason Bourne" movie is titled with his character's name.
Matt Damon first said that they thought of calling "Jason Bourne" as "The Bourne Something." However, Matt Damon and the people behind the film want to detach "Jason Bourne" to its predecessors.
"Jason Bourne" is merely about the identity of Matt Damon's character and his search for his real personality. To recall, Matt Damon said in "The Bourne Ultimatum" that he is no longer Jason Bourne.
Hence, in "Jason Bourne," the movie will start to know who the real "Jason Bourne" is. "I think the title will make more sense when you see the movie, but it felt right because it felt pertinent to the story we were telling and also different from the others -- in the right way," Matt Damon told Empire.
"Jason Bourne" is set to hit theaters on July 29. "Jason Bourne" also stars Tommy Lee Jones, Alicia Vikander, Riz Ahmed, Julia Stiles and marks the return of Paul Greengrass as the director.
