"The Voice" is among the most popular shows. It is entertaining and fun to watch as emerging talents showcased their skills in singing. However, in the next season of "The Voice," there will be a new set of judges.
According to The Wrap, the "The Voice" judges Blake Shelton and Adam Levine are reupped as NBC balances the ratings and costs of the show. The shake-up of the coaches will have singer-producer Pharrell Williams out of the show. He is in the mix as NBC figures out the coaching panel for "The Voice" season 11.
Per the report, the "Maroon 5" frontman and the "God Gave Me You" singer have spent all 10 seasons together in "The Voice." Christina Aguilera, who returned in "The Voice" season 10 did six, while CeeLo Green, an original judge, was there for four seasons like Williams. Usher, Shakira and Gwen Stefani did a pair of the season.
A source close to the "The Voice" productions disclosed that Stefani will likely return in the red chair and join the panel of judges in the spring. She will be joined by a combination of coaches that may include Williams.
"Everyone in 'The Voice' family has the potential to be back in the chair in the spring," one source told the publication.
However, Today reported that on Friday NBC already confirmed that Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys will join Shelton and Levine in the red seats for "The Voice" season 11, which means that Aguilera and Williams are out.
"When Miley speaks everyone pays attention. Our artists are very lucky to have the benefit of her instincts and wisdom," Paul Telegdy, NBC entertainment president said. "Our viewers will be treated to an inside look at one of the brightest minds in music and the entertainment industry who is at the forefront of pop culture."
As for Keys, the singer has a wide and impressive experience in her music career. So, there's no doubt that she will also be a good addition in the panel of judges for "The Voice" season 11.
