Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Aniston share an ex-lover in common - Brad Pitt, and the two recently got together again at Aniston's star studded holiday party, according to reports.
Gwyneth, 41, was seen arriving at the Friends star's Bel Air home with husband Chris Martin for Jennifer's star-studded annual holiday party on Sunday night.
According to E News, other guests included Courteney Cox, Chelsea Handler, Robert Downey Jr., Kathryn Hahn, Jason Bateman, Tobey Maguire, Isla Fisher and Will Arnett. "The party was held outside on a cold night," the source reveals. "Everyone was bundled up in jackets and scarves to stay warm."
Guests huddled around fire pits as they checked out the 360 views of the city. "It was a mix of Jen's friends and Justin's friends all coming together to celebrate the season."
Paltrow and Aniston's friendship may come as a surprise, but they share a common past - both actresses were in long-term relationships with Brad Pitt.
Paltrow dated and eventually got engaged to Pitt, 49, from 1994 until they split in 1997, while Aniston married the "Benjamin Button" actor in 2000 and divorced him in 2005.
In a recent interview with Parade magazine, Aniston said that she at a happy place in her life right now. "I'm a bit of a late bloomer! But it doesn't matter to me because it just gets better. They do say youth is wasted on the young, but I feel just as youthful now-if not more-than I did when I was 25. I'm more in my body; I'm more in my mind. Life is full. Life is wonderful. We're very, very fortunate."
Aniston also explained that she has plenty of things she's looking forward to in 2014.
"My life is so fantastic. I'm so happy. There are a lot of exciting things that I'm excited about doing," she said. "We're about to do a sequel to Horrible Bosses, which is such a fun character for me. And I think I'm going to try at some point next year to direct a full-length feature, which I'm extremely excited about. I'm just so happy and I'm grateful for my fans. I just hope I keep doing work that they love."
