A 4-year-old girl has some serious rock climbing skills. Arizona native Hadlie Brechler was influenced by her adventure-seeker parents to take on climbs even on some of the most dangerous mountains.
According to ABC News, Brechler's mom, Morgan, said her daughter's love for the outdoors and mountain climbing can be greatly attributed to her and her husband's interests. She noted that their daughter learned to climb mountains with the help of his father, Jared Marvel.
"I leaned up a sheet of plywood against the side of our house and put some rock holds on it and she started climbing," the father shared. He also explained that they make sure that they assist and monitor their daughters during their climbs.
Morgan also told ABC News that rock climbing has benefited their child in a lot of ways. "I get to see her confidence build with every move that she makes," she added. At a young age, Hadlie's parents said she has taken treks and climbs in some mountains in Hawaii and Mexico.
The mother-and-daughter tandem has also generated a huge following on Instagram because of their rock-climbing adventures. In one post, Morgan expressed confidence on the skills of her young daughter and said that she is out to reach greater heights when she grows up.
"Moments like this are when my mom instincts kick in and tell me to yell not to go any higher. But, I don't. (Sometimes it accidentally slips out #momlife)," she said in the caption. "Instead, I stand back and watch her confidence build and her bravery grow. I don't doubt that she will top this one out soon."
Cosmopolitan noted that climbing rocks and mountains help Hadlie become more confident. Her parents also shared that because of their daughter's skills, they were inspired to put up The Born Wild Project which aims to persuade other parents to expose their kids to adventure and nature.
