It's a baby boy for actress Kate Winslet!
The 38-year-old British actress welcomed her first child with husband Ned Rocknroll. The baby was born on Monday in London. She is already mother to 13-year-old Mia and 10-year-old Joe from previous relationships.
Kate's rep confirmed the news. "Mother and baby are doing great," the rep told PEOPLE magazine
Kate announced pregnancy in June. Her publicist then said that the couple were "thrilled" by the news.
In 2006, the 'Titanic' actress said told InStyle magazine about expanding her family. "I'm hoping to have more kids. I don't know whether one or two. Oh, God, I would love to have more," she said.
Recently, in n interview with TimeOut magazine, Kate said that she has learnt a lot as a woman in her ten-year gap between previous pregnancies. "I'm a bit older, and certainly my body doesn't feel like I have been pregnant in ten years. I've been more active and healthier, I think. I know more about how to take care of myself now" she said. "I think that between 27 and 37 was a really big learning decade. I just know more, I think, now than I did then. I've been very lucky - a bit tired and a bit sick at the beginning but nothing major at all."
She also said that society is pretty judgemental towards single mothers. "Single mums do come in for a hard time. Society is incredibly judgemental. I know this. It doesn't matter whether you've got money or you haven't, whether you're famous or not. This is the case for all women actually, you have to carry on. You always have to carry on. And you can, because you have to," Kate said.
