Megan Fox Gives Birth to a Boy, Confirms News on Facebook

Megan Fox is a new mom and it's a boy.

The actress confirmed the birth to a baby boy at the end of September and announced it on her Facebook page. Noah Shannon is the first child of the "Transformers" star and her husband and actor Brian Austin Green.

"We have been very lucky to have had a peaceful few weeks at home, but I would like to release this myself before others do. I gave birth to our son Noah Shannon Green on September 27th. He is healthy, happy, and perfect," the new mom wrote Wednesday. "We are humbled to have the opportunity to call ourselves the parents of this beautiful soul and I am forever grateful to God for allowing me to know this kind of boundless, immaculate love. Thanks to those of you who wish to send your positive energy and well wishes. May God bless you and your families abundantly."

Fox began dating Green after meeting him first on the sets of "Hope & Faith." The duo got engaged in 2006 and had a short split in 2009. They got engaged again in 2010, the couple tied the knot in the same year.

Green has a son, Kassius Lijah from his previous relationship with actress Vanessa Marcil. The pregnancy news was first reported by Radar online in March and later by E! News in April. However, the couple kept mum on the subject.

The paparazzi followed the actress and confirmed her pregnancy news by photographing her growing baby bump and spotting with an "angel caller necklace" that normally women wear during pregnancy to protect the unborn baby.

"I want at least two, probably three kids," Fox told Cosmopolitan in April. "I've always been maternal."
