New 'Suicide Squad' International Trailer Shows More Comedy [Watch]

A new trailer for DC's movie featuring a group of villains has arrived, and it shows fun details. With "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" celebrating a massive release recently fans can certainly expect that the campaign to promote "Suicide Squad" will just get even bigger.

Yes, it is getting bigger, reports Collider. DC has released a new trailer for the upcoming supervillain (or in this case, hero) movie. The trailer is essentially a shorter version of the one released earlier, but with a more comedic tone following after Marvel's "Guardians of The Galaxy." There are also a couple of new things to behold, most especially parts that pertain to the powers that the movie's characters have. However, it's not one that offers another perspective on the movie itself.

"Suicide Squad" is basically a rag-tag team of criminals put together in a suicide mission that could kill them. After all, they're all convicts, and the only thing they get to choose from is to rot in jail, or join the squad for a chance to gain freedom.

Although fans are excited to see Jared Leto's take on Batman's classic arch-nemesis the Joker, it is highly evident that the upcoming film's stars will the whole squad, says an Indiewire Blog. Will Smith's Deadshot might be the lead, followed by Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney's Captain Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman's Rick Flag, Cara Delevingne's Enchantress, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje's Killer Croc, Karen Fukuhara's Katana, Jay Hernandez's El Diablo and Common's Monster T.

The trailer shows that "Suicide Squad" has the same irreverent tone of "Deadpool," and might have the same humor and enthusiasm that "GOTG" has. However, given that some of the characters might not be familiar to the public's ears and knowledge (save for a few comic fans maybe), Warner Bros believes that it will be highly successful.

"Suicide Squad" premieres in theaters on August 5, 2016. Watch the trailer below.
