The DC Comic Universe has been making a splash in the movie world for a few years now with movies about their superheroes being released one by one leading up to a much awaited "Justice League" film. In fact, even giving the villains of the DC Comic Universe their own film as well, which has been very much anticipated by fans.
Just recently, the movie "Batman V Superman" just came out in theaters worldwide. However, though majority of the review has been great, there has also been great critiques about the film being too dark and grim for a superhero film.
Now, the latest DC Comic superhero that will be having his own film -- might be even the first one to be released. Aquaman, which will be played by none other than the famous Jason Mamoa (Game of Thrones), will soon be having his own film.
People are highly anticipating for more details about the "Aquaman" film. Although not a lot has been released, the fact that it is happening soon is quiet exciting for a lot of DC Comic fans.
The question on every fans' mind as well as film critics is whether "Aquaman" director James Wan will follow the heavy and grim nature of Zack Snyders "Batman V Superman" or not. However, according to James Wan, he wants to take a different direction with "Aquaman" and want it to have a lighter feel to it rather than a very dark one. James Wan sees "Aquaman" to have quiet an adventurous feel to it and this includes treasure hunts and sea monsters and will follow the spirit of high-seas.
"I would love to capture the fun spirit of high-sea adventures, treasure hunts, sea monsters," James Wan told the LA Times. "That's the spirit that I'm going for. Swashbuckling," James Wan added when asked about how he will direct "Aquaman."
"Aquaman" release date will be on July 27, 2018.
