Father Films His Children Running For Gifts Every Christmas For 25 Years

For more than 20 years, a father filmed his children running downstairs for their Christmas gifts.

The videos, captured from 1985 to 2009, show children running and sliding down the stairs to the family Christmas tree to get their presents.

"'Every year, our dad would tape us coming down the stairs," son Nick Confalone wrote in the video's description box. "This is a compilation of all the videos I could find."

The Daily Mail reported that Confalone collected as many videos as he could find and merged together the moments he and his siblings ran down the stairs to the Christmas tree.

The video beautifully traces the varied emotions of the children to the presents at various ages. It shows the children's anticipation for the gifts, the teenagers' casual behavior and the mature attitude of the adults. This video has been viewed by more than 1.6 million people on YouTube.

This is surely a wonderful Christmas gift of the father to his children. He has lovingly captured the innocent moments of his children. Looking back at these wonderful moments should make anyone feel wonderful and satisfied.

In the video, one can also see a dog, Confalone's sister's husband, singer/songwriter Matthew Rineer. "Relatives and pets grow up and disappear, and new extended family members appear in their place," the description read.

After all, this is the magic of Christmas, valuing what we have achieved and being thankful to parents and friends.
