Google Nexus 7 2016 had generated more rumors and speculations than any other upcoming device that had not been announced or confirmed by its manufacturer. The device was rumored to be Google's next flagship handset but, up until now, not even its manufacturer had been confirmed.

There were three manufacturers that had been mentioned in rumors whenever the Nexus 7 2016 was the topic: HTC, LG, and Huawei. With Google's history with the 3 smartphone manufacturers, it is more likely that Google has partnered with any of them were readily accepted.

As for the release date, there had been reports that the Google Nexus 7 2016 will be released or announced on the upcoming annual Google I/O Developer's Conference which was slated on May 18 to May 20.
