Singer Kelly Rowland admitted that she asks for parenting advice from her Destiny's Child sisters Beyonce Knowles and Michelle Williams and other friends from the industry. The mother of 1-year-old Titan Jewel said that her relationship with former girl group members have gotten stronger because they are now all mothers.
Rowland told Huffington Post that when she needs any advice on parenting her daughter, she always turns to her two sisters. "We just go through different things. I can call Michelle for prayer. I call Bey for motherly advice. I call Solange [Knowles] for school advice. ... like all of my friends who are mothers," she noted.
The 35-year-old singer added that she is grateful that she can turn to a lot of people when she had problems with her parenting "And just growing as women we have so many different things in common. It's just really a blessing," Rowland added.
Huffington also mentioned that she is also surrounded with very supportive moms who always give her tips when it comes to being a mom. She said even Jennifer Hudson expressed her willingness to help her out in parenting her son.
"Like I'll never forget [Jennifer Hudson] hitting me and she was like, 'You need anything? I'm here for you,'" the singer was quoted by Huffington Post as saying. She added that even Beyonce's daughter is looking out for Titan.
"It's so awesome to have women in the industry, who are so beautiful, so hard working and secure and lovely women who want to be there to support you," Rowland added. "So I'm just so grateful to God I have that circle of women around me."
Parents.com said Rowland gave birth to her son last November 2014. He was a healthy baby boy who weighed 7.5 pounds when he came out.
"I was speechless," Rowland remembered feeling when she first laid eyes on him. "He took my breath away."
The former Destiny's Child member also share that her son made it easier for her to deal with her mom's death.
"I remember not wanting to be sad for Titan. I wanted to keep myself together because I believe that all that stress and grief can be passed on to your baby," she said. "Knowing Titan needed me, and having that to focus on, helped me through."
