Surface Pro 5 development appears to be speeding up as Microsoft is keen on unveiling a new hybrid laptop this year; however, some reports indicate the likelihood of a delay. Aside from giving a longer battery life to the Surface Pro 5, Microsoft is also considering to come up with an idea of a rechargeable pen and a docking system which may be regarded as the company's pride and glory.
The forthcoming Surface Pro 5 may be delayed until next year, according to The Bitbag. Although there is no word yet from Microsoft about the device and its release date, some new features can be expected to come with the new device. According to a report, The US Patent & Trademark Office have just published Microsoft's patent application form that gave some hints about the company's plan to implement the feature.
The Surface Pro 5 is believed to have a sixth generation Intel Skylake processor with a 4K graphics display resolution, which means that it is another expensive hybrid laptop. Its 4K rumored graphics resolution will give the device the needed upgrade to keep up with other hybrid laptops, ChristianTimes reported.
Microsoft Surface Pro 4's previous issues regarding its battery life is also addressed in the upcoming device. A better battery for the Surface Pro 5 will put the device back on track. Experts say that it would be best if Microsoft can provide a longer battery life to the Surface Pro 5, considering that Pro 4's battery life longevity is considerably comparable to the HP Spectre x360 in the PCMark 8 Home test, a must have when it comes to a quality mobile performance.
Surface Pro 5 is believed to cost $999 to $1599, depending on the models. When the above mentioned features make it to the upcoming device, Microsoft may earn the advantage that the company needs to beat their competitors.
