In the past weeks, several reports claimed that Samsung has a "Pro" version of their recently released Galaxy A9. The rumors about Galaxy A9 Pro turns more visual until just recently, the new handset is officially announced.
Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro has been officially announced in China, Android Authority reported. The new handset will be released with a product number SM-A9100. Galaxy A9 Pro sports a 6-inch Full HD (1920X1080) Super AMOLED display and is equipped with a 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 SoC, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage. It will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
For those who love to take photos and selfies, you will love Galaxy A9 Pro because it comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front camera, which comes with specific modes like wide selfie mode, self-portrait mode, palm selfie mode and more, NDTV notes. The Galaxy A9 Pro camera app can also be fired by tapping the home button twice.
Apart from these features, Galaxy A9 Pro also supports dual SIM and microSD expansion. It will also come with a 5,000mAh battery with embedded fingerprint sensor in the home button that supports Samsung Pay.
Galaxy A9 Pro will be available in three colors, White, Pink and Rose Gold. For those who are interested with Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro, Geeky Gadget reported that the handset would be available for only 3499 Yuan, which is equivalent to $540 at the current exchange rate.
NDTV notes that Galaxy A9 Pro is better than Galaxy A9 because it comes with better rear camera, more RAM and longer battery life. For reference purposes, Galaxy A9 only comes with 3GB of RAM, 16GB on-board storage, 13-megapixel rear camera and 4,000mAH battery. Galaxy A9 was priced at 3,199 Yuan, or around $487.
