Iron Galaxy Studios has recently announced that "Killer Instinct" Season 3 will see some changes. As a matter of fact, new things are coming to the game including new characters and single-player mode in addition to some fixed up graphics and tons of special costumes.
It has been more than two years after "Killer Instinct" was released at the end of 2013. But the game continues to stay strong and its now in its third season." Here are some changes in the latest "Killer Instinct 3" update.
1. New Characters in "Killer Instinct" Season 3
As of late, there are six known characters in the "Killer Instinct" game. But according to Game Spot, four new characters are expected to be introduced starting next month and these include Mira, Maya's dead sister who's resurrected as a vampire arriving in "Killer Instinct" Season 3 in April, and Gargos who's coming in May.
There are also two other "Killer Instinct" Season 3 fighters coming out in June and July. And while they have not been officially named yet, rumors have it that it would be General RAAM from "Gears of War" and Eyedol, the only old "Killer Instinct" character who haven't made an appearance in the game. In addition, "Killer Instinct" Season 3 is also adding "Battetoads" guest star Rash and "Halo's" Arbiter to the game's playable roster, Digital Trends reveals.
2. Shadow Lords in "Killer Instinct" Season 3
Another new addition for "Killer Instinct" Season 3 is Shadow Lords. According to Den of Geek, Shadow Lords is a new campaign mode of sorts that involves fighting Gargos' forces in a global scale.
Even though Shadow Lords have not been seen fully in action, it reportedly has the same flavor as "Soul Blade's" Edge Master Mode. However, gamers have to choose a trio of characters instead of just one.
3. New Multiplayer Mode in "Killer Instinct" Season 3
"Killer Instinct" Season 3 launch trailer has also announced a new multiplayer mode coming in July. As per Iron Galaxy, the new mode will tie into Shadow Lords.
Meanwhile, "Killer Instinct" Season 3 is free to download for the Xbox One and Windows 10, Polygon reports. It also features one playable character by default, but gamers can unlock additional characters and other in-game content through micro-transaction purchases.
