'Warcraft' Rumors, News and Updates: Trailer Unveiled; Orcs and Humans Unite?

The latest news and updates for "Warcraft" revealed the possible unity of the Orcs and the humans. Also, the trailer looks promising with its thrilling scenes and captivating storyline. Fans around the world can't just get enough of Warcraft after the movie trailer's release.

Even though a plethora of video game movie adaptations will be coming our way over the next couple of years, but few are as big as Warcraft. This multimillion-budget epic movie will hit the theaters come June. And with that, a new trailer has recently been released according to a news article on GameSpot.

Duncan Jones who previously made the globally acclaimed sci-fi movies 'Moon and Source Code' is Warcraft's director. The movie is filled with big names in the industry such as Paula Patton, Toby Kebbel, Ben Foster, Clancy Brown and Dominic Cooper.

In an interview the previous year, Jones talked about why he was naturally drawn to this one-in-a-million project, and how Warcraft would tremendously differ from other game adaptations. "Here was a unique opportunity to take a game that I knew well and loved and try to craft something that would invite an audience to see what all the fuss was about," Jones told The Guardian.

"I wanted to give people a sense of why so many people play and care about the game. I love games and I feel they've been sold short shrift in films so far. It's my generation's opportunity to right that wrong," he added.

Interestingly, Warcraft has astoundingly had an extensive production process: the 123-day shoot which was wrapped in May 2014 as well as the original release date on December 2015 which changed twice, and finally to the current date of June 10 this year.

Moreover, Duncan Jones who replaced Raimi as the film's director is neither worried about the drop-off in the game's audience nor is he really concerned that the movie underpinning its narrative is one with which Tolkien fans are wearily familiar.

Instead of telling the audience a clear-cut story of good versus evil, Jones has deliberately opted to find heroes on each side of the conflict between orcs and mankind. "The protagonists on each side are noble and empathetic," Jones claims.

"They have reasons for doing what they're doing that we understand. Both the humans and the orcs present rich cultures in their own right, with people you care about and people who are obnoxious," he further remarked.
