Massive Entertainment has released a big, free update for "Tom Clancy's The Division" in April.
Trading
Players will be able to trade items by simply dropping them on the ground instead of scrolling through menus, GameSpot reported. This new functionality will allow other players within your group to pick the items up, but they are only eligible if they are with you when you got the item. Note that there's a timer and you only have two hours to transfer an item after it first dropped.
"One important thing to be aware of is that anyone in your group can pick up an item (provided they were there when it initially dropped). That means if you're playing with a friend and two random people, you'll need to be careful about transferring an item to that friend," GameSpot explained.
The Dark Zone, however, requires you to reach a gate first before being allowed to drop an item.
Incursion
The first Incursion is represented by an end-game mission called Falcon Lost, GameSpot reported. The high-end task, which focuses on raids, will challenge players and require teamwork. Matchmaking is also allowed to acquire teammates, but no checkpoints are on hand regardless how your team is assembled. This means if your team succumbs, the game requires to start over.
To complete the Incursion challenge, players need to obtain level 31 gear. Developers offer a higher difficulty mode for players who got the new gear sets in this update.
The April update will feature a number of new sets, majority of which will be found in Falcon Lost. These four sets are: Sentry's Call (precision-focused), Striker's Battle Gear (assault-oriented), Technician's Authority (for players supporting a team with healing), and Path of the Nomad (earned in the Dark Zone), GameSpot listed.
Players will be able to unlock specific talents by equipping matching gear sets as well.
A special weekly reward is in store for players when they complete an Incursion, but they are allowed to replay again and again to get more rewards. The weekly reward, however, is only available after the first time you complete the Incursion each week, and this can only be received on each of your characters, the news outlet explained.
The Incursion update will roll out for free on April 12. Conflict, another free update, will bring an Incursion set in Columbus Circle when it gets released.
Other Updates
The update also includes a spectator camera and assignments, which are weekly and daily missions that reward Phoenix credits. For supply drops, the first player or group to collect it will get a reward that doesn't require extraction.
