"Destiny" developer Bungie has revealed some information about the upcoming April update of the game.
Bungie released a complete list of the Legendary weapons from Year One that now have Year Two versions. They are listed below, as reported by GameSpot.
- The Devil You Know
- Shadow Price
- LDR 5001
- Badger CCL
- The Comedian
- The Swarm
- Y-09 Longbow Synthesis
- Grim Citizen III
- Two to the Morgue
- Zombie Apocalypse WF47
- The Saterienne Rapier
Different Process
For its Year Two version, the process for acquiring these weapons won't be the same as its Year One counterpart, GameSpot noted. Now, players are not allowed to purchase the items outright or Infuse the old versions. Instead, players are required to earn them by reaching a higher rank with the Vanguard or Crucible quartermasters.
These weapons cannot be taken by Legendary Engrams. Quartermaster reward packages will be the one offering versions up to 330 Light, with the process easier given that reputation gains have been improved in Strikes, Crucible, and the Prison of Elders.
Changes in Infusion
A livestream for "Destiny" also revealed that Infusion will now work differently by giving the weaker item the capacity to acquire the full strength of the higher one instead of just a percentage.
Bungie's latest update indicated that this will also apply to Exotics, and will allow players to immediately get a lower-strength one right up to 335 Light if you acquire a 335 that you don't wish to keep, GameSpot noted.
Other updates
Ships and shaders sold by Variks during Year One are now offered in reward packages when reaching a higher rank in the House of Judgment. On the other hand, the new Spektar gear is compatible with Chroma, a material that gives a glow effect to specific pieces of armor or alters the appearance of a weapon, GameSpot further reported.
A number of fan-favorite "legendary" (purple rarity) weapons are brought back by Bungie as well. These weapons were phased out when "The Taken King" was launched in Sept. 2015. Weapons like Shadow Price (an auto rifle) and The Devil You Know (a hand camera) are now back in the game's loot pool, Mashable reported.
Also, a variety of new armor can now be collected from special Sterling Treasure boxes, Mashable added. These can be acquired weekly as you complete Prison of Elders and Crucible challenges, or by buying the boxes using Silver, the game's currency that you can purchase with real money.
The new update for "Destiny" will roll out on April 12. The final of three livestreams will be released on Wednesday, April 5, which will reveal the upcoming additions and changes.
