Tom Clancy’s “The Division” will add new “Incursions” beginning April 2016. More details about the additions were discussed by Ubisoft in a live stream event on March 31.
Incursions in “The Division” are described as raid-like activities that were specifically developed for squad play. Ubisoft stated that teams can test their skills by battling unstoppable enemies. They will also be rewarded with high-level weapons and equipment. "The Division" game developer, Ubisoft, stated that Incursions are raid challenges that they previously promised to be included in their free DLCs and endgame content.
Game Spot notes that the April update of “The Division” will also add loot-trading, which has long been requested by the gaming community. Ubisoft explained that the new loot trading system will let players in the same group to trade their collected items during a co-op session.
Furthermore, another “The Division” update called “Conflict” will also be launched in May 2016, per another Game Spot report. The update will add new features to Dark Zone and another incursion in Manhattan’s Columbus Circle.
Both the April and May “The Division” updates will be available for free. Subsequently, there will be three expansions to be released for “The Division,” which will come with respective price tags. The latter three are expected to be bigger.
IGN adds that the 1.1 update of “The Division” will officially arrive on April 12, 2016. Plenty of additions are expected to come such as the Falcon Lost Incursion. There will be two modes in Incursions: Hard Mode and the tougher Challenge Mode. The April update will include four new Gear Sets with bonuses when players equip more pieces. A special Talent will be given if all four pieces of a set are equipped.
Gear Score will replace item level as soon as players reach level 30 in “The Division.” Item trading will be available. When gamers kill a boss and receive a drop, they can also drop it and have another group member pick the item up. Trading can be done several times among players. However, trading gear is only allowed up to two hours.
There will be reward drops in the Dark Zone approximately every hour. The new “The Division” update will also include minor daily and weekly assignments with rewards for players who complete these. A death camera will allow downed players to watch others while waiting.
More updates and details on “The Division” update 1.1 are expected soon. Players will have to wait until April 12 to get the full details.
