The once homeless Skittles dress designer Sarah Louise Bryan owes her upcoming million dollars to a dream. She dreamt of creating a Skittles dress, which undeniably, paved the way for her newfound and truly good fortune.
Yahoo reported that a year ago, Bryan didn't have anything. She was homeless and relied mostly on friends' help to give her and her children a shelter. Just when she was at the point of giving up, she had a dream which drove her to do a Skittles dress, one that is covered with Skittles.
Upon searching the net and found that her idea was a novel one, she immediately began to work. The 27-year-old mother gathered 3,000 pieces of Skittles and formed them into a dress that she never expected would bring her fame and fortune. In addition to the Skittles, she made use of 90 glue sticks and almost 200 hours of her time in creating the Skittles dress.
Because of the now famous Skittles dress, Bryan is slated to supply the Kardashians with her designs. While her Skittles dress has been purchased by America's Ripley's museum, she still has the picture of her first-ever creation.
She has lived by the motto that, "When little things knock you back, and believe me they do, just pick yourself up and just try again." Daily Mail reported that her dress designs were may not appeal much to the ordinary gal, but they were being lauded by various celebrities.
Often during interviews, Bryan couldn't help recalling her struggles in life. She got pregnant when she was only 14 and literally had nothing. But thanks to her fighting spirit, she never gave up on life. In fact, she found her own dream in a dress made of Skittles. Now, she is on her way to seeing her first million dollars in her bank account.
